Sky Sports understands defender David Buchanan has agreed a new deal at Tranmere Rovers.
Buchanan has enjoyed a superb debut campaign for Rovers, scooping the club's Player of the Season award as well as the Goal of the Season prize following his arrival from Hamilton.
Tranmere were keen to keep hold of the 26-year-old as he has established himself as a key member of Ronnie Moore's side.
A number of clubs were thought to be weighing up moves, but the defender is now understood to have agreed a new two-year deal at Prenton Park.
The news is a boost for Tranmere after losing John Welsh to Preston earlier this week and Buchanan is the second Rovers player to pledge his future to the club after Andy Robinson penned a new one-year contract on Wedneday.
