Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill was frustrated by his side's missed chances in their 2-1 away defeat to Fulham.
Clint Dempsey opened the scoring for Fulham after 12 minutes only for Phil Bardsley to level on his 150th appearance with a rocket in the 34th minute.
But Sunderland could only keep it all square for 15 seconds, allowing Moussa Dembele to run and hit a speculative shot that Michael Turner could only deflect into his own goal.
Frazier Campbell, who could feature for England in the European Championship, had one of the chances that left O'Neill deflated, lashing a close range shot wide on 70 minutes.
"It was a frustrating afternoon," O'Neill said.

"It was a great goal (from Bardsley), he's capable of doing that. It was a fantastic build-up, a great goal that put us right back in the game and within eight or 10 seconds of the kick-off they've gone 2-1 up again.
"That was particularly galling for us, but overall in our second-half performance we've tried to take the game to them.
"Of course they're going to have one or two chances themselves with us gambling on everything, but we've failed to take the chances that were relatively simple.
"You can have loads and loads of possession in matches but if you don't take the chances you create you run the risk of losing the game. That's been the case recently.
"I've been more than pleased with the team and the effort they've put in, but again it's a frustrated dressing room as we should have got something out of the game."
