Keeper the hero in penalty shoot-out on his return to action

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard made a successful return to action with a reserve outing after three months out. The Denmark international has been on the sidelines since February with an ankle ligament problem he picked up in training. Lindegaard kept a clean sheet before saving two spot-kicks in the penalty shoot-out win over Blackpool to reach the Lancashire Senior Cup final. The 28-year-old is unlikely to win his first-team place back in the United before the end of the season with David De Gea the No.1 at Old Trafford. However, it could boost his chances of being named in the Denmark squad for this summer's Euro 2012 finals.
