Sheffield Wednesday's on-loan winger Michail Antonio insists that missing out on automatic promotion would not dent their confidence.
The Owls are in pole position to seal a place in the Championship this weekend, with victory over relegated Wycombe required to fend off the challenge of local rivals Sheffield United.
However, Antonio, who is on loan at Hillsborough from Reading, says that the challenge of going up via the play-offs if necessary would not faze Dave Jones' side.
"We are the form team in League One right now, so should we not clinch second, we will go into them as the ones to beat," Antonio told Sky Sports.
"Obviously we have always believed that we could clinch automatic promotion, but the play-offs have been there as a safety net.
"I firmly believe that we can go all the way and seal promotion at Wembley, but obviously weird things can happen in the play-offs.
"That would be three years in a row that I've been at Wembley, but hopefully on the winning side like I was for Southampton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
"However, we are now focused on Wycombe on Saturday in the knowledge that three more points will ensure we don't need to go through the play-offs to reach the Championship.
"I'm just delighted to see both Reading and Sheffield Wednesday doing well this season.
"Obviously, Reading are a Premier League club now and hopefully Sheffield Wednesday can finish the season off strongly as well by securing promotion."
