Brendan Rodgers: Swansea's next game is away at Manchester United

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers was disappointed with his side's defensive display after surrendering a 3-0 lead to draw 4-4 with Wolves.

Andrea Orlandi scored the fastest Premier League goal of the season, netting after just 24 seconds before Joe Allen and Nathan Dyer made it 3-0 to Swansea with 15 minutes played.

Steven Fletcher pulled one back for Wolves, Danny Graham then made it 4-1 but a brace from Matt Jarvis and David Edwards goal gave Wolves an unlikely point.

"We started the game magnificently well, in the first half we were sensational going three goals up. We were probably too comfortable," Rodgers told Sky Sports.

Disappointing

"I felt offensively we were a threat and with our defensive record we would expect to win the game but defensively as a team, not just the back four, we were disappointing.

"So what should have been three points we end up with a point and we have to review and reflect on that.

"We will need to be better going forward to the next games and next season.

"That is something this group do they're great learners and today is a game they'll learn from."

Wolves were already relegated following last Sunday's 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City but Rodgers was quick to compliment their team spirit.

"It's a great credit to Terry and the players. They've got good players and they can punish you.

"So congratulations to them because at 3-0 it looked like it was going to be a lot more but they hung in there and ended up getting the point.

"The point guarantees our status in this league and that is an achievement we'll probably reflect on more next week but certainly today it was disappointing not to win, but credit to Wolves."
