Christophe Berra claims Wolves are already plotting an immediate return to the Premier League, with the Championship title their top target.
The Molineux-based outfit will find themselves back in the second tier next season after having their relegation out of the top flight confirmed.
They still have pride to play for in their final three fixtures of the 2011/12 campaign, with it important to rebuild shattered confidence heading into the summer.
Changes aplenty are expected during pre-season at Molineux, making it all the more important for any cracks to be papered over.
Berra believes Wolves are capable of piecing themselves back together in a short space of time and is tipping them to bounce back into the big time at the first time of asking.
"The aim is to get back in the Premier League as quickly as possible and try to win the Championship," the Scotland international said in the Daily Star.
"They'll probably freshen the squad up, but it's up to us to come straight back up.
"It's easier said than done, but that's the main aim for the club. You see a lot of teams go down - look at West Ham - and it's not easy to come up.
"Teams will raise their game against you because you've played in the Premier League for three years and it will be tough.
"If you want to come up, you've got to earn it."
