England international targets a top-four finish for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King has declared he is ready to blunt the edge of Blackburn sharp-shooter Yakubu on Sunday. The 29-year-old has been a revelation this term and has scored 16 goals in the Premier League, despite the fact Blackburn have struggled for most of it. Yakubu is the joint-fourth top scorer in the division and his strike rate has given Steve Kean's outfit a fighting chance of staying in the top flight.

Finisher

"Yakubu has been brilliant for them," King told the club's official website. "He's given them a chance to stay up with the goals he's scored, all important goals. "He's a tough player to play against, physically strong and a great finisher. We'll have to keep an eye on him."
Points
The two teams will meet at White Hart Lane on Sunday as Spurs try and recover ground in the race for the Champions League places. It is a game that is vital to both teams for different reasons as they both try and conjure the energy to finish the season strongly. He added: "At this stage of the season you face teams who are after points for different reasons. "It's what you expect. It's another game that we have to try and get three points from. It will be tough, but every game in this league is tough."
