Bafetimbi Gomis admits he is pulling out all the stops to line-up against England for France in the European Championship this summer.
The Lyon striker has been in sizzling for this season and is the favourite in the eyes of many fans to lead the French attack in the tournament.
He shot to fame around Europe when he hit four goals, including a hat-trick in seven minutes - shaving two minutes off Mike Newell's fastest UEFA Champions League treble, when Lyon beat Dinamo Zagreb in December 2011.
But if the Senegal-born Gomis is not picked, he is prepared to put aside his disappointment and roar his country on to victory from the stands.
"I will be very unhappy and sad if I do not go to the European Championship," said Gomis to RMC. "I am working hard to impress the national coach.
"It will be fantastic for me, because I can bring a lot to the team. I will put everything into getting called up so I will be disappointed if I do not.
"But I will be the No.1 fan for the team if I don't."
