Argentina international believes City are ready to take the title
Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta insists they are ready to grasp their opportunity to claim the Premier League title.
The two Manchester clubs will lock horns in the most eagerly anticipated derby match in decades at the Etihad Stadium next Monday.
United seemed to be heading towards the title after reeling in Roberto Mancini's team, however, they have dropped five points in their last three games.
Both teams have now played the same amount of games and although United have a three-point advantage, if City win all three of their remaining matches, they will clinch the title.
And their Argentina international admits they are ready for the challenge, as Zabaleta told City's official website: "We've never stopped believing in ourselves, but to be honest, after the Arsenal defeat I thought our chance had probably gone.
"We've been five points clear before so we know how it feels, but United losing against Wigan and dropping points at home to Everton shows that in football you have to believe, because you just never know.
"If we have another chance for the title, it's because we deserve it. We've kept going and we will continue to do that and see what happens.
"We know how important this game is. United are the team we want to beat, especially because it gives us the chance to get back to the top."
