Bruce slams ex-Leeds boss

Defender admits he was pleased with Warnock arrival

Leeds defender Alex Bruce has hit out at Simon Grayson, claiming he was unfairly treated by the former Elland Road boss. Bruce, who started just one game under Grayson, is one of several out-of-contract players waiting to hear if they have a future under current manager Neil Warnock. "My time at Leeds has been a little bit bittersweet," Bruce told the Yorkshire Post. "I don't think Simon Grayson helped me this season. "In my first year at Leeds, I think I did okay. I was in the team and we were doing all right. For a new signing to get dropped and for him to treat me the way he treated me was a little bit disappointing. "I was pleased to see Neil Warnock come in and I'm sure the lads will do better under him. Whether Bruce still has a future at Elland Road remains unclear with Warnock promising an overhaul of the playing staff. "My future is up in the air and like every other player who is out of contract at a club, it's a difficult time. "I'm looking forward to getting this season out of the way and kicking on next season - hopefully that will be at Leeds United. I'm sure with Neil Warnock at the helm that next year the club will be moving in the right direction."
