Paul Green is set to leave Derby County on a free transfer after rejecting the offer of a new deal.
The Republic of Ireland international has been in talks with the Rams for some time over fresh terms, but he has now informed them he will not be staying on.
It means the 29-year-old will leave Pride Park at the end of the campaign following four years at Pride Park.
Rams boss Nigel Clough confirmed Green would be leaving the club after rejecting the club's final offer.
"We made him an offer last week, which we feel was a fair one taking a number of factors into consideration, but unfortunately he has informed us that he won't be signing," Clough told the club's official website.
"There's no malice from anyone at the club against Paul; he's a great lad and a very popular member of the squad."
