Ledley King believes Scott Parker has been a great signing for Tottenham and can understand why is so popular with supporters.
Parker made the move to White Hart Lane last August after performing well for West Ham in recent seasons, and had an immediate impact as Spurs enjoyed a strong first half to the campaign.
Harry Redknapp's men have slipped back down the table in recent times but Parker's good work has still been recognised with a nomination for PFA Player of the Year.
"Scott's performances have been at a consistently high level for a few years now, and he's been a brilliant signing for us this season," King said.
"He's become a fans' favourite straight away, and you can see why - he leaves everything on the pitch."
Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker are also on the shortlist for PFA Young Player of the Year after impressing for Tottenham this season.
It has been Walker's first full campaign in the Premier League and King feels the 21-year-old full-back is a special talent.
"The first time Kyle came into the club, you could see he had all the attributes to be a top, top player," said King.
"I was pretty sure then that he would eventually make the right-back position his own.
"It's his first full season for us, and it's no surprise that he's done so well. He's been tremendous."
