Ajax are targeting young Heerenveen winger Luciano Narsingh as a potential summer signing after missing out on him in January, according to his agent.
The 21-year-old, who came through the youth ranks in Amsterdam but never made it into the first-team, has made a big impact at Heerenveen this season, scoring six goals and providing 18 assists.
The Godenzonen tried to sign him in the winter transfer window but reportedly left it too late and saw their bid turned down.
Narsingh has since earned his first call-up to the senior Netherlands squad and was an unused substitute for their 3-2 friendly defeat of England at Wembley in February.
The Dutchman's agent, Mino Raiola, claims Ajax are still interested in re-signing the youngster at the end of the season.
He said in De Telegraaf: "Ajax have told us they see Luciano as an interesting option for next season.
"After the league has finished we will hold a meeting and Ajax and Heerenveen will have to work out a deal."
Eredivisie leaders Ajax have already made their first signing in preparation for next season as they close on the title, snapping up Lasse Schone on a free transfer from NEC Nijmegen.
They are also thought to be targeting AZ captain Niklas Moisander as a replacement for key central defender Jan Vertonghen, who has been linked with a summer move to England.
