Leverkusen keeper attracting interest from several clubs

Fabian Giefer's agent has claimed that Everton are among several clubs interested in signing the Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper at the end of the season. The 21-year-old is currently the back-up to Bernd Leno at Leverkusen and has made only a handful of Bundesliga appearances during his career. He has a further season to run on his contract, but could be on the move in the summer, with Bayern Munich reportedly favourites to snap up Giefer as cover for Manuel Neuer. "Fabi has got four alternatives," his representative Tobias Sander told Bild. "Bayern Munich, Fortuna Dusseldorf, SpVgg Greuther Furth and Everton. "It will be a gut decision in the end. "Bayern Munich definitely has a special status. The training facilities, as much as the atmosphere at the club, are just a class in their own." Reports have claimed that Everton are considering a move for Giefer as back-up to Tim Howard, with Jan Mucha and Marcus Hahnemann currently providing cover at Goodison Park.
