Morecambe midfielder Stewart Drummond will miss the club's final three games of the season after having his appendix removed.

Drummond, 36, was taken to hospital on Easter Monday and missed Saturday's goalless draw with Port Vale having undergone surgery. "Stewart has been through a bit this week and we all wish him well," said manager Jim Bentley on the Shrimps' official website. "He was still in hospital on Saturday and has been in a bit of pain. "We wish him well and hope to see him back running around again as soon as possible."
