Graham Dorrans: His wonder strike won the game against QPR

Graham Dorrans insists he is over his injury nightmare and is looking forward to helping West Brom finish as high as possible in the Premier League.

The Scotland international has been dogged by injury problems since manager Roy Hodgson took charge at the Hawthorns in February 2011, most notably with a long-term ankle setback.

But now the 24-year-old has made the most of opportunities opened up to him and his long-range strike in the first half gave Albion a 1-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers.

"I've been struggling with injuries so hopefully that's me over and I can keep myself fit and get myself stronger and just keep going," he told Sky Sports.

And on the game, Dorrans said: "We knew they were fighting for their lives down the bottom looking for points and we were under a lot of pressure for most of the game, but thankfully we have seen it out and managed to get the result.

"We knew Wednesday (4-0 defeat at Manchester City) was going to be a tough game and it was disappointing for everybody concerned but we were looking to bounce back today and thankfully we did that."

Dorrans' scored a similar long-range strike against West Ham (last February) although he seemed more pleased with his effort against Rangers.

"It's nice to see them go in but as I said, it's all about getting the three points.

"We were under pressure for most of the game and it was nice to actually keep a clean sheet and get the three points."
