Nottingham Forest loan star Adlene Guedioura is determined to secure Championship survival with victory over Blackpool on Saturday.

Forest currently find themselves seven points clear of the drop zone and victory over Blackpool would go a long way to ensuring safety for another season.

Guedioura, who joined Forest on loan from Wolves in January, has played an instrumental role in their climb to safety and he believes the quality in Steve Cotterill's side should be good enough to escape relegation.

"We are happy to be in this position now [out of the drop zone] and we need to be focused to win this game," Guedioura told Sky Sports.

"I think with the squad and quality of players we have in the team and fans around us as well and the management and staff I think we are going to be safe for this season but we have to remain focused.

"The game against Blackpool will be a good game, a tough game because we need the three points and they need three points as well as they want to try to get to the play-offs but we need these points.

"I think it will be a game of good football because we know Blackpool play good football so we are going to try our best to win this game."
