Uruguayan not looking to leave
Diego Forlan says he wants to remain at Inter Milan beyond this season.
The 32-year-old moved to the San Siro last summer from Altetico Madrid, but he has endured a frustrating injury-hit campaign.
Now Forlan insists that he has no intention of leaving the club.
"I want to stay at Inter. You haven't seen the real Forlan yet," the 32-year-old told
Sky Sports Italia.
"I wouldn't want to leave Inter like this. I like challenges and I wouldn't want to leave when the team are not in a good position."
Inter are currently six points off third place in Serie A, the final qualifying spot for the UEFA Champions League, after a disappointing campaign in which Forlan has struggled.
The player of the tournament at the 2010 World Cup, where Uruguay reached the semi-finals, Forlan missed four months through injury and has often been jeered by the Inter fans when he has played.
"I have had difficult moments like this in my career," he said.
"I need to work hard to change things."
