Colchester captain Kem Izzet will unite three successful teams from the club's past to celebrate his testimonial year next month.

Izzet, who racked up his 400th league appearance for the U's earlier this season, will be at the centre of proceedings on Saturday May 12 at the club's Weston Homes Community Stadium. United's non-league double-winning side from 1992 will first take on the play-off winners of 1998 in a 40-minute match, before John Ward's class of 2012 take on a Select XI made up of a host of players from the U's side of 2006, who finished runners-up in League One. Managed by former Colchester boss Phil Parkinson, the likes of Neil Danns, Richard Garcia, Greg Halford, Jamie Cureton and Kevin Lisbie will be joined by brother Muzzy Izzet and others. Kem Izzet told the club's official website: "Over my 10 years at the club I have been privileged to play with some very good players and I am looking forward to many of them coming back to Colchester for the event."
