Morison backs Holt for England

Steve Morison says it will be 'an absolute disgrace' if his Norwich strike partner Grant Holt is not given a chance to play for England.

He is doing everything, says fellow Norwich forward

Steve Morison says it will be "an absolute disgrace" if his Norwich strike partner Grant Holt is not given a chance to play for England. Holt grabbed a second-half equaliser for Norwich in their home draw against Everton at the weekend before playing his part in Monday's win at Tottenham to lift the Canaries into the top half of the table. The 30-year-old target-man has now scored 13 Premier League goals this season in an impressive campaign - with Wayne Rooney the only Englishman above him in the scoring charts. And team-mate Morison thinks it will be an injustice if Holt is denied the opportunity to show what he can do at this summer's European Championship. "If he doesn't get called up to the Euros, it will be a travesty," said Morison. "Look at the scoring charts. You go by players who are playing well and scoring - and he is doing everything. "If he doesn't at least get a chance it will be an absolute disgrace."
