Alex Kacaniklic is determined to grasp his opportunity in the Fulham first team during the closing weeks of the season after making his debut against Norwich City.
The Swedish winger was recalled from a loan spell at Championship side Watford last week and was promptly included in Martin Jol's plans for the visit of Norwich on Saturday.
He replaced Pavel Pogrebnyak in the first half and came close to marking his debut with a goal when his curling effort clipped the crossbar.
Kacaniklic was pleased to be handed an opportunity in the Premier League and the 20-year-old is hoping for more involvement in the final seven games of the campaign.
"I got the call on Tuesday night and I trained on Thursday with the team," the former Liverpool youngster told the club's official website.
"I found out on Friday after the session that I'd be involved against Norwich and so I was very happy. It's an exciting time for me.
"I felt the game went pretty well for me. When I was told to get ready to come on I didn't think too much about it, I just wanted to play and I was happy to come on and I really enjoyed it.
"I just want to try and do my best and work hard and I just want to play. Obviously I just want to play for Fulham so that's my target; I want to play as many games for Fulham as I can between now and the end of the season.
"Bolton is next up and obviously they need a win at the moment so that's going to be a difficult game but I'm sure if we play to our best we can come away with a positive result."
