International clearance received for Fernandez

Dunfermline have confirmed the capture of Spanish goalkeeper Bernardo Dominguez Fernandez after receiving international clearance. The Pars agreed terms last month with the 32-year-old, who was a free agent after parting company with SD Huesca in January. The former Recreativo and Alaves shot-stopper has become Jim Jefferies' first since signing since taking the managerial reins at East End Park. With Paul Gallacher sidelined for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury and Ian Turner returning to Preston after an ill-fated loan spell, the Pars find themselves short between the sticks. That has left with the SPL club with no option but to draft in cover as they attempt to steer clear of relegation trouble in the Scottish Premier League.
