George Boyd has turned down the offer of a new contract at Peterborough and will be transfer listed in the summer as a result.
The 25-year-old winger still has a year left to run on his current deal at London Road, but has opted against penning an extension.
The Posh are disappointed to see a key performer shun their advances and begrudgingly accept that they will now need to cash in on Boyd once the transfer window re-opens.
Director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "We have said before that any player who rejects a contract when they have just 12 months to run on their existing deal would be sold.
"It is good business sense to do that. To be fair to George, he has been a fantastic servant to this football club and we obviously wouldn't begrudge him a move because of that.
"However, as with other players, it has to be the right price for this football club."
Boyd, who has scored eight goals this season, joins talismanic striker Paul Taylor in failing to commit his future to the Posh in recent days.
