Fulham boss denies link with Turkish star

Martin Jol has dismissed as 'speculation' reports that he is looking to take Trabzonspor striker Burak Yilmaz to Fulham in the summer. The Cottagers' chief is keen on bolstering his attacking options at the end of this season and in addition to trying to make on-loan striker Pavel Pogrebnyak's stay from German Bundesliga side Stuttgart a permanent one he has been linked with 26-year-old Yilmaz. The Turkey international, who is understood to have a buy-out clause in his contract of around £4million, has also been linked with a move to the Cottagers' Premier League rivals Arsenal. However, when quizzed about the possibility of making a bid to sign the player when the transfer window reopens for business, Martin Jol said "We're looking for attacking players because we don't have too many of them. "We know this player - he's the top scorer in Turkey - but there's no truth in it. It's just speculation."
