Blackpool boss Ian Holloway believes 'too much talking' was the reason they failed to bring Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey back on loan to Bloomfield Road.
Shelvey enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Blackpool earlier this season and Holloway was keen to re-sign the 20-year-old back before the close of the loan window last week.
Liverpool were thought to be reluctant to loan out Shelvey in case of injuries and asked if he had been disappointed to miss out on Shelvey, Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette: "Forget Jonjo Shelvey. I don't want to talk about him.
"The reason we haven't got him is because we were talking about him for months and he was somebody else's player.
"He is on the bench for Liverpool at the moment and they bought him for a lot of money, so well done to them."
