Huddersfield record-breaker Jordan Rhodes believes an automatic promotion place is Sheffield United's to lose with eight games remaining.
But Rhodes, who became Town's record goalscorer in a single season when firing his 35th goal in the 1-0 win over Charlton at the weekend, believes the race for a top-two spot is far from over.
"We've eight games to go and there are still plenty of points to be played for," Rhodes told the club's official website. "It's up to us to be on top form in every one of those and hopefully we'll be happy come May.
"The ball is not in our court - it's up to other teams to lose that second place. We're just trying to do our best during the run-in and we'll be gearing up for our next game at Carlisle United in a week to do our best there.
"I'm sure there will be plenty more twists and turns that will happen in the last seven weeks."
Sheffield Wednesday are currently second on 74 points, but have played a game more than third-placed Sheffield United (73) and Town (71), who have both played 38 matches.
