Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger admits his loan move to Sheffield Wednesday is a 'big chance' to get his life back on track.
Ranger has not made a first-team appearance for Newcastle this season and has endured a string of off-field issues.
He joined Wednesday on loan last week and made his debut as a substitute in the League One promotion contenders' 1-0 win at Leyton Orient.
The 20-year-old is looking forward to his time at Hillsborough and is hoping to help the Owls win promotion after previously playing a role in Newcastle's return to the Premier League.
"It's a big chance to get my life back on track and add a second promotion to my CV," said Ranger. "People are watching me.
"This club is bigger than some in the Championship. I've done my research. It's good to be here.
"There are good players here, a good bunch of lads. The banter and the vibes are good. Hopefully we can get up there. We're second. But anything can happen."
