Alan Navarro: Yet to hold talks over where he will be plying his trade next season
Alan Navarro has insisted he is staying focused on his football and has not held any talks with Brighton about staying on beyond the summer.
The midfielder was released at the end of last season after a bad knee injury but was invited back for summer training and earned a one-year deal.
He is therefore set to be out of contract again in a couple of months and he is anxious to avoid a repeat of last year's uncertainty and agree fresh terms.
However, the 30-year-old recognises that he will only have the opportunity to stay if he proves his worth by continuing to perform well on the pitch.
"There have been no discussions yet," Navarro told The Argus.
"As a player you are always wanting to know what your future is, I'm no different to anyone else.
"I haven't personally really thought about it that much. I'm just concentrating on football, because after what happened last season you just don't know what is going to happen.
"Hopefully this time around I am in a better position and it will sort itself out."
