Lowe support for Barker

Former Bury striker Ryan Lowe has issued a strong message of support to Gigg Lane boss Richie Barker.

A run of 12 games without a victory in League One has taken Bury from the outskirts of the play-off battle to the heart fo the relegation battle. Lowe left the Shakers to join Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the summer transfer window and he has no doubt that Barker is the man to turn the club's ailing fortunes around. "It's not nice to see managers getting sacked left, right and centre," he told the Bury Times. "For me there's only one man for that job and it's Richie Barker. "He's a very good manager. He watches games and gives players lots of information and useful advice about the opposition they are playing against. Every time his players go out, they have the best knowledge about who they are playing against that they could possibly have. "The club is still a close-knit group and they need to use that togetherness to get them over the line."
