QPR striker Djibril Cisse has promised Liverpool he will not hold back when the two sides meet on Wednesday.
Cisse, 30, was dumped by then boss Rafa Benitez in 2006, despite having helped the club claim both the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.
The France forward admits Liverpool remains a 'special club' for him but insists there will be no room for sentiment when he steps out against them.
"It's a special club but, for an hour and a half, there is no mercy," he told the club's official website.
"When the whistle blows, that feeling will disappear. It was difficult to leave because it wasn't my decision.
"Rafael Benitez told me, 'You're not in my plans', so I had to leave. I was really sad because I did well in the short time that I played.
"But that's the way it was and I have to accept it."
