Sky Sports understands Millwall are poised to sign Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery on loan.
Lions boss Kenny Jackett has moved for Montgomery to bolster his midfield options after losing Therry Racon to injury for the rest of the season.
Long-serving midfielder Montgomery has found himself down the pecking order at Sheffield United this season with the 30-year-old struggling to hold down a starting place in Danny Wilson's side.
Montgomery has made just 14 starts in League One this term and Wilson is happy to loan him out so that he can get some first-team action under his belt.
Montgomery, who is set to join Millwall on loan until the end of the season, is set to go straight into the squad for Tuesday's crucial clash with fellow strugglers Doncaster Rovers.
