Gary Cahill has wished former Bolton team-mate Fabrice Muamba a full recovery after suffering a cardiac arrest at Tottenham.
Muamba remains in a critical condition at the London Chest Hospital after collapsing shortly before half-time of Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final at White Hart Lane.
Cahill is close friends with Muamba from their time together at Bolton and the Chelsea defender showed his support for his old team-mate by lifting his shirt to reveal a 'Pray 4 Muamba' message on a T-shirt following his goal in Sunday's FA Cup win over Leicester.
Messages of support for Muamba have come in from all over the football fraternity and Cahill admits it was hard to concentrate on playing following the incident.
"It was nice to get the goal but it was a bit of a blur for me, my mind was in a different place," Cahill told Chelsea's official website.
"After seeing what happened yesterday I wish Fabrice all the best and I hope he recovers quickly.
"It was obviously not the best preparation for the game, but it was one of those things where you go out and do the job."
