Martin Kelly: The youngster was unlucky not to score for Liverpool against Everton
Martin Kelly insists Liverpool are still firmly in the race for fourth place in the Premier League after ending their run of three straight defeats with 3-0 a win over Everton.
Steven Gerrard hit all three goals to breathe new life into their bid to play in the Champions League next season and are 10 points behind fourth place with as many games to go.
The club have already assured themselves a place in the next Europa League with their Carling Cup triumph over Championship side Cardiff.
But Kelly believes the win over their neighbours should be just the start of a string of wins that fires them up the table but first is the little matter of an FA Cup quarter-final against Stoke.
"We're not the type to give up," he told the club's official website. "We'll try our best and see where we finish.
"We'll take each game as it comes - but our next game is Stoke and that's what we've got to concentrate on."
