Taylor targets safety surge

Taylor: Keen to fight relegation

Exeter are aiming to pull clear of the relegation zone before the season enters its final month, says on-loan forward Jake Taylor.

Taylor, borrowed from Reading, is part of a Grecians side that currently lies 21st in the table with 10 games of the season remaining.

It is a tough situation for the Devon club, who find themselves competing with seven other sides to avoid ending up as one of four teams dropping to League Two next term.

And the Wales Under-21 international has stressed he and his team-mates are doing all they can to make it to safety well before the end of the season.

"We know we don't want to be dragged into it in the last few games of the season," he said.

"We need to pull a few results out of the hat in the next few weeks and there's a lot of games coming up quite quickly for us to be able to do that."
