Aldershot goalkeeper Ross Worner has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious back injury.
Worner, 22, was forced off at half-time in the club's 4-1 victory over Barnet at the end of February and initially ruled out for up to four weeks. But, after seeing a specialist, that period of rest has been extended.
Jamie Young has stepped in to fill the void superbly but it remains to be seen whether manager Dean Holdsworth will now look to the loan market for further back-up between now and May.
Holdsworth told the club's official website: "I am so disappointed for Ross. He is the third player who is now out for the remainder of the season which is a big blow for a club of our size.
"He had got himself into the team and was having a good season but we will have to get him right for next season now.
"We have spoken about how we are going to handle matters to get Ross back and playing. Jamie Young has shown tremendous character though. He has come back into the team and been superb and it is a real testament to his character too."
