Title race will go to the wire, says Bolton boss

Bolton may remain in deep trouble but manager Owen Coyle is taking the positives from a spirited display at Manchester City on Saturday. The Trotters are just one place from the bottom of the Premier League and face a crucial game against fellow strugglers QPR next week. Coyle said: "We have got 11 games, six at home and five away, and there are points to be achieved in every one of those games. "If we offer up the level of performance, particularly in the first half, there is no doubt we can achieve points and ultimately our short-term goal to make sure we stay in the Premier League. "That is what we have to do, starting at home next week against Queens Park Rangers."

Praise for City

Coyle was full of praise for opponents Manchester City and feels Roberto Mancini's men should go on and win the title. He added: "There is no doubt from all the teams we've played, I think we have seen the champions, because we have played Manchester United as well. "Manchester City have such a plethora of players, the quality they have, they are players they all crave. "But there is no doubt it will go down to the wire because Manchester United know the course and distance and have quality as well. "Whoever does win it will be an outstanding team."
