Shrewsbury Town striker Marvin Morgan has urged his team-mates to up their game after he scored the winner against promotion rivals Crawley Town.
The former Aldershot man rode to the rescue after coming on at half-time, with the visitors dominating Monday's match, and he poked home after 74 minutes to lift the Shrews back up to third in the League Two table.
The result was a timely boost for Shrewsbury, who had lost 2-1 at leaders Swindon last time out, and Morgan says Saturday's trip to Crewe is just as important as their recent top-of-the-table double-header.
"It was a great result for us because we were left very disappointed by the Swindon defeat and it took a lot of character to bounce back," Morgan told
Sky Sports.
"If we had moped around we could have ended up getting battered by a good Crawley team, but it was a great night for the club and for me personally by grabbing the winner.
"Crawley were quite direct, but they got the ball down and controlled the game well, so I did feel sorry for a lot of them.
Perfect tonic
"When you play that well and lose it can take a lot out of you, which we know from the trip to Swindon and the Crawley result was the perfect tonic.
"That showed in our performance because we didn't start too well and Mark Wright's goal came at the right time for us.
"The second half was a much-improved performance and we managed to turn it round in the end.
"We now need to take confidence from the result, rather than the performance, and take it into Saturday against Crewe and onwards, taking each game as it comes because they are all extremely important.
"The game on Saturday is just as important as the Swindon and Crawley games because if we lost against Crewe all that hard work put in against Crawley will go to waste.
"They threw away a 3-1 lead recently, but they are always a good team, with very good players, but as a club we can't worry about them too much.
"If we go there and play well then no team can contain us in this division and I think that we've shown that this season."
