Alexandre Pato will miss AC Milan's return date with Arsenal in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League after picking up a thigh injury.
The Brazil international has suffered a muscle tear and is expected to be sidelined for up to two weeks.
The setback is the latest in a long line of problems endured by the striker in recent seasons.
Pato has now taken in 13 spells on the treatment table in the last two years.
The latest of those blows is set to keep him out of Milan's trip to Emirates Stadium on 6th March.
The Rossoneri hold a commanding 4-0 lead heading into that tie, but Pato had been hoping to help them over the line and into the quarter-finals.
He has made just 17 appearances this season for Milan, netting four goals.
