Sky Sports understands a host of clubs are tracking Crewe midfielder Luke Murphy.
Murphy has come through the famed Crewe academy and is regarded as one of the best prospects in the lower leagues.
The 22-year-old has been earning rave reviews this season at Gresty Road and could only have impressed watching scouts with a man-of-the-match performance in last weekend's 3-3 draw with AFC Wimbledon.
Representatives from several Premier League and Championship clubs are thought to have watched him in action this season as they weigh up a move for the talented midfielder.
Murphy, who is known for his spectacular long-range goals, has just over a year to run on his current contract at Crewe and the Railwaymen know they could face a fight to keep hold of the player if any of his suitors come calling this summer.
