Yann praises strike partner

Charlton striker Yann Kermorgant has heaped praise on his strike partner Bradley Wright-Phillips after his hat-trick downed Chesterfield.

Wright-Phillips, who is second in the goalscoring charts in League One, took his tally for the season to 18 goals. After starting the season in blistering form, Wright-Phillips had gone 12 games without a goal when he notched last week against Stevenage. This latest treble will be a confidence boost for the striker and Kermorgant is backing him to continue to score freely. "He has come back to find the net and it is very good for the team and for him. It's difficult for a striker when you don't score for a long time, more so for Bradley because he is the main striker," the Frenchman told the club's official website. "But I know he is working hard every day and it's very frustrating when you don't score. I was very happy for him. I think he will score a lot now." Despite not scoring himself, Kermorgant was delighted with the result and wants the Addicks to push on from here. "We are very happy to win the game and the score is a very good one. A clean sheet, 4-0, what else (can you ask for)? We play every game to win. We will continue to do that until the end of the season." "Even if it is difficult to win every game, we want to stay unbeaten in 2012 - maybe we can finish with the maximum points at the end of the season and win the league - of course."
