Bury have completed the signing of former Leeds striker Mike Grella on a short-term contract until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old American ended three years at Elland Road when he joined Brentford in August.
However, despite netting four goals in November's 6-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Bournemouth, Grella failed to establish himself in Bees boss Uwe Rosler's plans and left Griffin Park earlier this month.
Grella, who played on loan for Carlisle and Swindon last season, goes straight into Richie Barker's squad for Bury's League One home clash with Hartlepool on Tuesday night.
