Leyton Orient coach Kevin Nugent was pleased with goalkeeping recruit Marek Stech's debut performance in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bury.
The O's have been cursed with injuries to their keepers this season, with Lee Butcher and loanees David Button and Ben Alnwick all having had spells on the sidelines.
Jamie Jones, last season's first choice, has yet to figure this term after a summer shoulder operation and just as he was returning to fitness, he suffered a wrist injury forcing Orient back into the loan market for West Ham's Stech.
Nugent said: "It was really unfortunate for Jamie because he has done well to get back to fitness and just prior to the Scunthorpe game last week he injured his wrist.
"The Bury game was just too soon so we had to bring Marek in and he did fantastically well."
