Shaun MacDonald has vowed to "repay the faith" Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury has shown during a tough first season at Dean Court.
MacDonald, who arrived from Swansea in the summer, has struggled with injuries this term - making just 14 appearances for the Cherries.
During that period, however, MacDonald has been buoyed by the support handed to him by Bradbury. And he fully intends to show his boss that his patience was not misplaced.
"When I first came here I met the gaffer and he made it easy for me. When I was injured he was always there to give me a pat on the back and he knew I was going through a tough time," he said.
"I was injured and it was frustrating but now I want to do well for him and repay the faith that he has shown in me.
"Every manager is different but all the lads respect the gaffer and that's the main thing."
