Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal is in line to return to action before the end of the season, according to Israel boss Eli Guttman.
Kayal was expected to miss the rest of the campaign after being forced to undergo ankle surgery last month following a tackle by Rangers' Lee McCulloch in the Old Firm game at Celtic Park.
The 23-year-old revealed earlier this month he hoped to defy the medics by recovering from his injury quicker than expected in a bid to play his part in Celtic's chase for a domestic treble.
Israel chief Guttman has revealed he has spoken to Kayal and he expects the midfielder to be available for the country's training camp in May.
"I had a good meeting with Beram and he is very pleased with the rate of his recovery," Guttman told the Daily Record.
"He told me he expected to play again this season and he'd be ready for our training camp in May."
