Roma have indicated a willingness to allow David Pizarro to make a permanent move to Manchester City if the deal suits all parties.
The 32-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at the Manchester club and impressed with a goal and an assist in the 4-0 thrashing of Porto on Wednesday.
And Roma general manager Franco Baldini has left the door open for Pizarro's stay in England to be extended.
"We are happy with the start he has made at Manchester City," Baldini told Chilean newspaper La Tercera. "But it is still too early to talk about his future.
"We have good relations with Manchester City and if they want him, Pizarro will decide whether to stay there.
"But we have not agreed about the price for a permanent deal."
