Midfielder ready to help Red Devils in their push for silverware

Tom Cleverley says he is back to full match sharpness and ready to play his part in Manchester United's quest for domestic and European glory. An ankle injury picked up in October forced the promising midfielder to miss a large chunk of the season, with an impressive opening to the campaign brought to an abrupt halt. Cleverley has, however, returned to the Red Devils fold over recent weeks and played just over an hour in their 2-0 victory over Ajax in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 encounter. Sir Alex Ferguson has vowed to give the 22-year-old a full run-out in the return date on Thursday, as United look to take another positive step towards continental success. Cleverley claims he is in the best possible shape ahead of that fixture, with a spell on the sidelines having left him fresher than most for the end of season run-in.

Frustrating

"It's good to be back," he told United's official website. "It's massively frustrating to be out for that length of time but I'm back now, I'm fresh, I'm 100 per cent and looking forward to the end of the season." Cleverley is among those hoping a productive end to the season will lead to a Euro 2012 call-up, but he insists he is giving little thought to international recognition right now. "I'm just concentrating on tomorrow night and then Sunday (against Norwich), for my club," he added. "If I can get into some good form between now and the end of the season, I'd be more than happy to be involved in the European Championship this summer."
