Reading striker Mathieu Manset is poised to join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, Sky Sports understands
Shenhu, who recently signed Nicolas Anelka from Chelsea, have lined up a loan deal for Manset who has fallen down the pecking order at Reading this season.
The 22-year-old has only six starts in all competitions this season and the January arrival of Jason Roberts has further limited his first-team chances.
Reading are prepared to loan out Manset and the former Hereford man is keen to move on in search of regular first-team fooball with the Royals set to receive a loan fee for the Frenchman.
The signing will complete the Chinese club's quota of four foreign players, which include Anelka, Brazil's Moises and Bosnian midfielder Mario Bozic.
