Westley may try to extend Bristol City full-back's loan deal
Preston North End manager Graham Westley intends to speak to Bristol City regarding a possible loan extension for defender Jamie McAllister.
The 33-year-old's one-month stay at Preston has expired after he missed Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United due to a hamstring injury.
McAllister had moved to Deepdale to build up his match fitness after failing to feature for City since Derek McInnes took charge at Ashton Gate.
The left-back had been sidelined by an ankle injury earlier in the campaign and Westley aims to hold talks with McInnes to discuss McAllister's situation.
"Jamie had a fitness test on Saturday morning but didn't make it," said Westley in the Lancashire Evening Post.
"It was disappointing to lose a player of his experience so late in the day.
"With his loan, we have agreed to have a conversation with his club and him, and we'll make a decision from there."
