Sky Sports understands Blackburn Rovers are in talks with Josh Morris over a new deal at Ewood Park.
Morris, who has come through the ranks at Blackburn, sees his current deal expire in the summer with the club having the option to extend it.
Blackburn are keen to tie down the 20-year-old to a new long-term contract as he is tipped for a big future at Ewood Park.
Morris, who can play at left-back or in midfield, has made one appearance this season as a substitute in the win over Manchester United, after making five appearances last term.
Rovers boss Steve Kean is thought to be a big admirer of Morris and he has been pushing for the club to secure his future.
