New Accrington boss Paul Cook had no complaints after suffering a dreadful 4-0 debut defeat to Plymouth Argyle.
Cook refused to panic after a nightmare first game in charge at the Crown Ground in League Two on Saturday, with Alex MacDonald grabbing a first-half brace before goals from Darren Purse and Luke Daley after the break handed the struggling Pilgrims three welcome points in their battle against relegation. "Plymouth deserved it," Cook said. "Sometimes you have games like this and they had four attempts on goal and scored four goals. "Every mistake we made was punished and we will have to go away and analyse them and make sure we don't make the mistakes again. "It's a learning curve. The lads have been used to the voices of John Coleman and Jimmy Bell for the last 13 years and now it's something different with different instructions and it will take some getting used to. "Now I have got to lift the players and we need to be strong. It's competitive at this level and my job is to get the players playing how I want them to and believing, and it will take time."
